Music at Second UCC
The Senior Choir
The Senior Choir consists of 25 singers encompassing the traditional choral parts of soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. The choir performs at Sunday morning worship services each week, and presents additional concerts and programs during the year.
Choir members also have the opportunity to perform in small ensemble groups and as soloists. The Senior Choir rehearses weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7:15 to 9:00 PM in the music room.
Junior Choir
The Junior Choir performs approximately bi-monthly in Sunday morning worship services at the church. Rehearsals are held in the music room on Sunday mornings following the worship service (10:45 – 11:30 AM). The Junior Choir consists of children in grades one through six. Music is sung in Unison and occasionally in two-parts.
Handbell Choir
The Handbell Choir performs music for three octaves of handbells. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. and plays frequently for Sunday morning worship services and other scheduled events. The Bell Choir is made up of 11 members and a few alternates.
