ABOUT SECOND CHURCH
Second Congregational Church in Beverly is a warmhearted community that welcomes all people, without regard to faith background, race, age, class, gender orientation, or physical and intellectual ability. God's doors are open to all and so are ours. We practice kindness, treat people with respect and value everyone's diverse gifts.
We believe that God’s mission for Second Church is to nourish, strengthen and empower families of all shapes and sizes, both within the church and throughout the greater community, so that we may all grow and thrive together. Come visit us! We'd love to meet you.
THE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST - A CHURCH OF FIRSTS
Second Church is a proud congregation of the United Church of Christ. The UCC is a church of firsts, weaving God’s message of hope and extravagant welcome with action for justice and peace. UCC was the first historically white denomination to ordain an African-American, the first to ordain a woman, the first to ordain an openly gay man, and the first Christian church to affirm the right of same-gender couples to marry. UCC was in the forefront of the anti-slavery movement and the Civil Rights movement. Our response to the demands of our faith is woven into the history of our country.

BUILDING OUR LEGACY
Our church is a season of completing and celebrating our ministries and working on building a lasting legacy for our community. As we live out this transitional season, all of our members and friends are an integral part of this process. If you have questions about this process, please be encouraged to contact any member of the Central Board and/or our Legacy Pastor, Rev. Adam Isbitsky.
